I am one of those geeky people who LOVE to read all the business articles that pop up in my FB news feed. In fact, if you looked at all the tabs I have open to keep track of articles I definitely want/need to read you would think I am a bit obsessed ;)
I find a lot of inspiration in all of these articles.
This week I read an article regarding goal setting by James Clear on the Entrepreneur blog that had me virtually high fiving the author.
He is what I think is the biggest take away from his article:
"What's the difference between goals and systems?
- If you're a coach, your goal is to win a championship. Your system is what your team does at practice each day.
- If you're a writer, your goal is to write a book. Your system is the writing schedule that you follow each week.
- If you're a runner, your goal is to run a marathon. Your system is your training schedule for the month.
- If you're an entrepreneur, your goal is to build a million dollar business. Your system is your sales and marketing process.
Now for the really interesting question:
If you completely ignored your goals and focused only on your system, would you still get results?"
I couldn't agree more!
In fact check this blog post, Why You Shouldn't Set Goals, that takes this idea and relates it specifically to your Stampin'Up! business
When we focus on what we do, rather than what we want, it creates an amazing shift in our focus, our energy, and our happiness!
