I'm going to stick my neck out and say that this does NOT mean we should just ignore or brush off those who are really in trouble and in need of help. What it does mean is that instead of pointing out other people's flaws and mistakes (their circus and monkeys), we should exercise self-control; that is, we should be responsible for what WE say, do, and think (our circus and monkeys).
thanks for the thoughts Chellie! I think too often we get caught up in all the drama, things that have nothing to do with us, or for us.
I agree that we need to be as kind and caring and supportive to our fellow travelers. AND
we need to be able to step back sometimes and say "this is not about me and has nothing to do with me"
