Good morning all! Oh today it is so hard to get going...coffee is not even helping! Fortunately, I made this card last night since I had some extra time on my hands. I should have done the words as well but I had a great idea for my next project and I had to get on it while I still remembered the details!
My sister suggested I say the following:
"well, It's Wednesday and here is my card."
Something tells me I can't take that easy route though! It is not often that I am without something to say- ask my Mom, she used to pay me a quarter for 5 minutes of quiet!
Anywhatsit! Today's card theme comes from The Crazy Challenge- they are urging us to get busy with our Christmas/Holiday cards now so that we are not running around like loons in December trying to get everything done! Aren't they sweet? One down, 79 to go...<smirk>!
These lovely colors come from the Split Coast clean and simple challenge. Crumb cake, Turquoise and White. Very refreshing colors and together I think they are wonderful for Christmas.
Now Paper Take Weekly and Spoonful of Sugar were feeling the same vibe this week and each had a 3-2-1 recipe challenge. Paper Take made it really simple and let us choose what our ingredients were going to be, while the Spoonful crew got a bit more specific: 3 flowers , 2 buttons and 1 ribbon. Done! Since there are quite a few flowers on my card I am calling it to be 3 types of flowers- paper, buttons and embossed.
Last but not least- my starting point in fact, is this lovely sketch by the Sweet Stamping challenge group.
I did turn it on its side so I could fit my Dasher in without squishing him! I markered the greeting (from Seasonal Sentiments- a Holiday mini sneak peak!) and stamped it at the bottom of my white panel. I intentionally overlapped my two images to keep with the light feel I was going for- plus I think the antlers and the script really compliment each other. The white panel is actually Shimery White cs- one of my goals was to have a card with a lot of texture- this makes the card more of a holiday treat! (Think of how the tree looks with all the different ornaments and trinkets) Here is a close up so you can see how all those textures play together.
Well, I am done here- have an incredible day!
Keep On Inking!

Thanks sis for showing your fellow bloggers that your sister has no creativity. :) Cute card though!
